Share website analytics data from Plausible

Plausible.io is a great alternative to something like Google Analytics because it doesn't use cookies or store any Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and is GDPR compliant as a result.

When working with others, instead of giving users access to your Plausible data through user permissions, this data can be shared by creating a unique URL set to either publicly display this data or provide private access using a password.

The process

  1. Start by logging into your Plausible.io account, or pressing the account button at the top of the page. Hover over a specific website and press the Settings icon.

  2. Navigate to the Visibility section of the selected domain's Settings and press the New link button.

  3. Create a password to restrict access, or leave it blank to make the data publicly available. Press the Create shared link button, and you're done.
